Another edition of "The List"! Trying to be consistent this year 2025!
Did you like the "list"? I hope so because I will continue to share tips, things and recipes that inspired me during the week.
1. Book that inspired me
Glossy - Ambition, Beauty, and the Inside Story of Emily Weiss’s Glossier
I loved this book because I closely followed the work of Emily Weiss, founder and creative mind behind the Glossier and the blog INTO THE GLOSS. I pity that post Covid Emily Weiss was "forced" Abandoning his position as CEO - the brand (and the blog) were never the same. There is something magician in the aura of a founder who really brings a unique energy to the brands.
Emily Weiss challenged all the rules and created an empire from a blog. For those who want to understand branding, community and the importance of building something authentic, this reading is essential. I don't think it's a book that reflects Emily well but you can see all the pieces and dedication well.
2. Ingredient of the week
Pau Santo - The energy cleaning necessary for Retrograde. Are you already feeling?
Mercury is retrograde, and at this stage everything may seem more intense: blockages, delays, mental confusion. Pau Santo is one of my favorite rituals for Clean the energy and return the balance.
What is it?
An aromatic wood, used for centuries in shamanic rituals to Purification and Energy Protection. When burned, it releases a soft, comforting smoke, creating an environment of calm and clarity.
- Before you start the day → Light a piece and let the smoke wrap the space.
- To clean a loaded environment → Ideal after intense meetings or days of great pressure.
- Moment of introspection → Great to accompany a ritual of "Journaling", letters or meditation.
If there are heights to bet on "energy cleaning" is now.
3. To listen
How I Built this - Emily Weiss, Glossier
This is capable of being the podcast I hear the most. There is something very inspiring in listening to stories of people who started out of nowhere, and managed to bring their dream/idea and made it a business that lasts and grows even in the midst of much adversity.
For Mantra Theme This episode is an interview with Emily Weiss, a conversation about persistence, intuition and how to build a brand that really creates an impact on its audience.
4. A product that I am worshiping
As you know I am addicted to Matcha, and drink with milk. This dairy has been a companion for many years - perfect foam, right temperature (we can choose hot or cold. Foam or no foam) and that classic design that looks beautiful in the kitchen. Small details that make a difference in everyday life.
5. Something beautiful
The new collection of Maison Hotel
I love pieces that look like Effortless and sophisticated at the same time. The new collection of Maison Hotel has embroidery, natural textures and fluid cuts, a boho-chic style that never goes out of style.
6. Revenue of the week
Korean pancakes with vegetables
I made this recipe several times this month. It has the best of two worlds - many vegetables and are super fast to do. These pancakes are crispy on the outside, soft inside and flavorful.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of wheat flour or rice flour (I use half of each)
- 1 teaspoon of yeast
- ½ tsp of salt
- ¾ cup of gas with gas (there are those who use beer, tried and hated but it may be for not drinking alcohol that knew me badly;)))
On the part of the grated vegetables what you have in the fridge. I already used beet, spinach, chards and even corn.
- 2 cups of grated vegetables
- COENTROS If you like
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons of tamari or soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon of sesame oil
- 1 pinch of ground chilli or grated ginger
Preparation mode:
- Mix flour, yeast and salt. Add the gasified water and stir well.
- Incorporate vegetables.
- Heat a skillet with sesame oil and pour small portions of the dough. Cook until golden (about 3 minutes on each side).
- Serve with the sauce and finish with sesame seeds.
7. Ritual that changes everything
Tongue every morning! How do you no longer talk about this ??? I use to prevent caries, but if you have breath problems this ritual changes everything !!! It has a fresh mouth all day.
The first thing I do when you wake up. At night, the body releases toxins through saliva, and if they are not removed in the morning, they are reabsorbed. Scraping the tongue improves digestion, reduces inflammation of gums and as it has said improves breath. Small gesture, great impact.
8. Small change, great impact
Create a "morning uniform"
Starting the day with less decisions brings more clarity and mental energy. Emily Weiss talks a lot about this: the less micro-decisions we have in the morning, the more space we have for what really matters.
How to apply?
- Fixed breakfast → No waste of time to decide.
- Minimalist Skincare → Essential products, without excess of steps.
- Choose clothes always the night before → something that works and does not require effort. I always choose what I am going to wear before I lie down, the same for the kids. So it is much faster.
Less mental noise early in the morning = more creativity, productivity and a more balanced day.
I hope you enjoyed it!
If you have any tips or suggestions, leave it in the comments.

Mafalda
