Botanical cookies

Botanical Biscuits

Ingredients:

200gr unsalted butter at room temperature 

3/4 cup of your favorite sugar

2 teaspoons of MATCHA or DETOX powder

1 teaspoon vanilla essential oil

Pinch of salt

3 cups flour (I used white spelt)

Preparation:

In a mixer, mix the butter, sugar and powder MATCHA or DETOX powder. Beat well for 5 minutes until the mixture is fluffy and creamy. Add the vanilla, salt and flour. Beat until combined, making sure not to overbeat. Turn out onto a work surface, sift with flour and roll out the dough with a rolling pin.

Sprinkle with flower petals. Roll again to adhere.

The trick to getting the petals to stick is to put it in the freezer.

Heat the oven to 170 degrees.

When the oven is hot, place the cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Leave to cool to firm up.
