Pau Santo: What is it for and how does it work?

O Pau Santo has been a bestseller in store, since the day that has been available!

So I would like to talk a little more about this "spiritual tool." I believe that if we realize why and how to use it correctly, our life can be transformed.

Your smoke and smell seems to help dissipate negativity and make a breath of well-being.

I use to clean the energy of both the house and office, and myself. And with every new month that comes in, I like to do extra "cleaning" around the house.

Everything to do with the Feng Shui strand that runs to me in the veins that includes "trying" to be more minimalist, donate everything we have not used for over a year and being as zero waste possible.

Maybe it also has to do with 4 children, but I like an organized and clean house. And many times to achieve this, I have to be minimalist (except home at home, except the kids mess up!). The smell is also something that affects me. I like the open windows all year round (I'm glad we live in Portugal!) To let in good energy.

Another thing that not dispensing is Pau Santo.

It has been used for centuries by Amazonian civilizations to ward off bad energies.

I use it for two reasons:

1 - Because I like to do home cleaning and the energy is something I feel a lot. When there are discussions, some heavier problem or someone who has passed here with that "bad vibe."

2 - Because I like the sweet smell and the "clean" that the house is, after burning the blessed stick! Unlike incense, Pau Santo burns slowly. This way you can use it very often and it is not that intense smell. This is softer and more subtle.

Properties of Pau Santo

The smell that the Pau Santo emits is the essential oil that contains - the "life force" of the tree. Like all essential oils, the Holy Pau contains dozen, if not hundreds, of chemical constituents that are studied by their unique healing and regenerating properties. When we inhale these components, the nervous system assimilates and reacts - sending signals to the body places that need recovery.

The essential oil of Pau Santo It has benefits that go through the relief of symptoms of allergies, removes mosquitoes, combat free radicals, relieves stress and anxiety, promotes repairing sleep, relieves nausea and even reduces pain and inflammation. So the relaxed feeling with which I feel after using Pau Santo. It is very likely that it is not just the placebo effect. Pau Santo It is traditionally burned as an offering to good indigenous spiritual beings, especially in a sacred place.

It is believed that when we enjoy pleasant smells on land, spiritual beings will also be attracted to these smells and, in return, bring pleasant vibrations and good luck.

Start your own ritual

The next time you want to clean the energies of your home or that it smells the fresh:

1 - Stop and think a little about what you want. Clean energy? Maybe a particular corner of the house?

2 - Take a holy stick and light up, always carefully. Use a phosphorus preferably or a candle. There are some rules and one of them should use natural fire, so lighter and stove should not be the first choice.

3 - The stick will start to get flame and it will quickly go out. Let this process happen by itself. When the smoke is just going out, the "work" begins. I like to start with me. I step from the bottom up, and a little all around. I even help with the other hand to smoke over me almost with if you were shaking crumbs from the upper body (for example, from the shoulder by the arm to the hand).

Then advance to the house. I start with the gateway and follow the route, entering each space and making the songs all of it. Pay special attention to doors and windows. When I do it in the kids, I do the same one I did to myself, but as they have less patience and think I'm a little "strange", I just go around the head of each Pau Santo.
