Henna: Tudo sobre coloração natural para o cabelo

Henna: All about natural color for hair

Whether we want to give more shine or character to the hair, with a beautiful, unique and luminous color, or because we want to cover the white hair that appears, sooner or sooner we will look for a hair color solution.

But those who have tried to dye their hair know that repeated use of paint, full of chemicals, ends up causing immense damage, such as migraines, scalp irritation, dry hair and damaged ends. There is no return to: at home or in the hairdresser, the paints spoil their hair, even interfering with our health, because they enter the bloodstream.

This is where henna comes in, a natural coloring solution used for thousands of years in North Africa, Egypt and India, which not only allows you to create very beautiful and "measured" shades for hair, but also strengthens and protects it. The result is a healthy and bright hair, as I have never seen it! Henna has many advantages, but the main thing is that when 100% natural and biological certified, which will color your hair effectively without damaging it.

And because you can prepare it at home and apply it easily, it is ideal for independent women who like to take care of themselves without having to mark time at the hairdresser!

Myths

A great myth is that it comes out with the washes, but it is not the case! Henna "takes" well to the thread and doesn't come out.

Don't worry that henna takes hair well but not to the skin, another myth and fear of our clients - henna does not pour the skin, just the hair, so it does not bind your hands or forehead, it can be rested.

What is henna?

Henna is a powder obtained from the mix of roots and leaves of various medicinal plants, 100% natural, and the base is inermly Lawsonia. This shrub plant grows in some areas of Africa and Asia, and in its pure version has a reddish brown pigment. It is known for its ability to dye, but also for refreshing the body when applied to the skin. For lighter, or darker tones, pure henna is mixed with other natural pigments such as cassia or indigo, and thus a panoply of colors such as the coppery, alien, or chocolate brown.

Because it comes directly from plants, our henna does not contain additives or chemicals present in the other paints. Rich in tannins (which can help prevent white), proteins and minerals, henna contains vitamin E, has antioxidant properties, and a pH of about 5.5 (much closer to skin pH, and in contrast to the much more aggressive pH of artificial paints, which is between 9.0 and 11.00)

How to prepare Henna Natural

How to prepare henna?

The henna is preparing by mixing the dust with a liquid (tip: for dark hair try black tea or coffee to help the color fix better. If it goes to the blond tones chamomile tea or warm water with a teaspoon of turmeric), to get a mixture that resembles the Greek yogurt (you have to feel it is a "wet" mixture that we then spread our dry hair with the help of a brush.

Because henna is a natural product, consisting of plants and roots, and we all have different hair, it becomes difficult to ensure a specific tone. That's why we have four henna base shades - dark brown, clove, black or blonde . We advise you to choose two shades and mix if the idea is to look like locks.

If you are very afraid to try you can start with a strand of hair to see the result, and then have fun to discover the perfect tone for your hair.

Coloring with henna lasts from 4 to 6 weeks or until the whites begin to appear. If at the end of a few weeks you want to make the tone, or cover the whites, you can always touch up, preparing a smaller mixture and applying only where you need it.

How to mix and apply

Henna dyeing your hair is very easy and fast. We explain how it is done in 7 steps:

*The amount you will use will depend on the length of your hair. If you are going to dye your hair in your entirety and/or if you will only retrieve/cover the white.

1. In a medium bowl put two to three spoons of shallow dessert henna dessert of the tone closer to your hair, and mix, if you want, with a smaller amount (1 spoon of shallow dessert) from another tone for greater brightness or a more special tone.

2. Add some liquid (for example, black tea if it is for dark tones or chamomile tea if it is for blondes) and mix until it gets a mixture that resembles the Greek yogurt. It is advisable to add the liquid progressively, always less than we think that amount of dust will need.

3. Apply henna always to dry hair. Like any color, henna will work better on dry hair and “not washed fresh”.

4. Dedicate yourself to preparations: Use a towel to cover your shoulders to avoid dirtying your clothes. With the help of a brush, and using gloves if you want, apply the henna mixture from the root to the ends of the hair, making sections, separating the strand inside the possible, to cover each hair line.

5. Let the mixture act without hurry. You can hold your hair with a spring and wrap it in a towel to be more comfortable to continue with your day normally.  Let the henna mixture act for 2 hours at the beginning to give time to get.

7. After two hours passed, wash the hair normally. Start by letting the water wet your hair well to help you get the mixture better. Pass normally by shampoo - We advise two washes, and finish with softener.

What if the first color does not catch?

If you use silicone shampoos and is used to using chemical inks can happen! Don't give up. Making the transition to a 100% natural color is possible, you must have patience as our customers usually the second application are already fully colorful. And then they don't want anything else, because henna helps strengthen the hair, moisturize and make the hair brighter.

It is natural that after years to be “assaulted” by chemical paints, your hair takes some time integrating this smooth and positive effect method, such as moisturizing and strengthening hair. If you cannot fully cover white hair after the first henna application, try repeating the process past 4 days and will probably notice the difference. Adventure and find out this natural way of giving brightness and personality to your hair without mistreating it!

Boa tarde,

Adorei a explicação,
Onde comprei a Henna as indicações são muito diferentes.
Como lavar o cabelo colocar luvas, acrescentar amassiador.
Gostei da vossa parte de acrescentar o café ou misturar 😊🙏☀️
