O Gua Sha Body is one of our favorite beauty tools. Not only does it help to sculpt body lines, prevent and improve cellulite and stimulate skin elasticity and radiance, but it's a great way to stimulate the lymphatic system, which is essential for releasing toxins built up in the body's tissues. This activation of the lymph is essential for reducing levels of inflammationwhich will then translate into immense benefits: less swelling, less built-up tension, more elasticity in the skin and a more even, smooth texture.
If you've been putting off trying it because you don't think you'll have the patience to massage your whole body with the Gua Shathis post is just for you. You don't have to massage your whole body at once. You can do daily massages on various parts of the body where we have lymph nodes. Faster and the same benefits!
Let's go to the massages?
- Always apply an oil to the bodyto facilitate the massage. We recommend Firming Oiloil, specially formulated with firming and slimming botanical actives.
- Make soft and gentle movements - the aim is not to hurt the skin or feel pain during the massage
- Gua Sha should have only one slight inclinationIt should be almost flush with the skin (15°). Do not place it at a 90° angle, as this is not the correct way.
If you work a lot at the computer or have long and stressful days, then this massage is really perfect. Start by applying the oil to the neck area and massage with your hands. Then, with the Gua Sha, start at the nape of the neck, sliding it up to the shoulders. Repeat the movement about 10 times, on both sides.
Start at the obliques, sliding the Gua Sha to the navel area, sideways. Then, from top to bottom, starting at the bottom of the chest and sliding down to the bottom of the belly. Finally, to stimulate digestion, massage the belly in circular, clockwise movements.
By massaging the legs, you will not only be stimulating the lymph nodes at the back of the knee and pelvic area, but you will also be improving or preventing cellulite. Start at the bottom of the foot and slide the stone towards the knee. Then from the knee to the pelvic area and buttocks. It's also a great way to relieve tension built up in the legs.
To stimulate the lymph nodes in the elbows and armpits, start by massaging the shoulders in a semi-circle about 10 times. Then start moving the Gua Sha from the elbow to the armpit area. Finish with longer strokes, covering the entire arm, from the hand to the armpit.
