How to avoid sun spots
SUN! It's probably all you're in the mood for over the next few months - and well. It's essential for Vitamin D synthesis and for stimulating serotonin production, and even for alleviating some skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and acne. But, as with everything in life, the dose makes the poison and we know that sun exposure also has its cons, one of them being skin ageing and the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
How do sun spots appear?
Too much sun exposure causes the body to produce more melanin, the compound that, in greater or lesser concentration in the body, creates our skin tone. It is a defense mechanism of our body to try to repair sun damage.
The parts of the body most susceptible to the appearance of sunspots are the face, shoulders, neck, arms, back and hands - are the most exposed on a daily basis, even if we don't spend a whole afternoon in the sun. Our level of unprotected sun exposure will determine if, when and how much these spots appear.
There are some natural ingredients effective in preventing and treating hyperpigmentation:
Aloe vera - this plant contains aloin and aloesin, botanical active ingredients that reduce hyperpigmentation. The sensation on the skin is highly refreshing and soothing, also ideal for relieving burnt or sensitive skin, after sun exposure.
Vitamin C - this powerful antioxidant offers UVA and UVB protection, so we should look for it both in ingredients in our beauty products and in our diet.
Vitamin E - Essential for strong, healthy skin, hair and nails. It moisturizes, protects the skin from photosensitivity, acts as a healing agent and relieves symptoms of aggression and burns.
Green tea - Rich in antioxidants, more specifically polyphenols, it protects cells from damage caused by UV radiation.
Anti-sunspot beauty products
Face
Sun protection
The first stage of anti-dark spot protection is actually sun protection, to prevent the body from overproducing melanin, which will then result in spots. It is therefore important to use a serum or sun stick with an SPF appropriate to your skin toneeven in the fall/winter months.
Radiant line
Essence, serum e cream - a complete care to prevent and attenuate hyperpigmentation. In addition, they contain bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol, for a firmer, plumper skinwithout the common adverse reactions of retinol.
For a light exfoliation and hydration boost, with antioxidant ingredients that regenerate the skin and protect against sun damage. Honey, açaí, passion fruit oil and rose powder are some of the main ingredients that will brighten the complexion, tackle hyperpigmentation and delay signs of ageing.
One must do! Hydration from the inside out with rose water as the main ingredient and a touch of silica, an essential mineral for collagen regeneration. Stimulates skin elasticity and radiancefrom the inside out, maintain even complexion and act as natural anti-inflammatory.
Body
As with the face, we should not neglect sun protection on the body. Even if you don't go to the beach, a walk in the sun is enough to end the day with a scald on your shoulders, chest or arms. When repeated, sun damage will appear on the skin sooner or later. It is important to protect yourself with your sunscreen (mineral, is our advice).

It is essential to replenish moisture in the skin, especially after sun exposure and sea/pool water.
