Como evitar manchas solares

How to avoid sunspots

SUN! It should be everything you want for the next few months - and well. It is essential for the synthesis of Vitamin D and to stimulate the production of serotonin, and even to alleviate some skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis and acne. But, as with everything in life, the dose makes the poison and we know that sun exposure also has its drawbacks, one of which is skin aging and the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

How do sunspots appear?

Too much sun exposure causes the body to produce more melanin, the compound that, in greater or lesser concentration in the body, creates our skin tone. It is our body's defense mechanism , to try to repair sun damage.

The parts of the body most susceptible to the appearance of sunspots are the face, shoulders, neck, arms, back and hands - the most exposed daily, even when we don't spend an entire afternoon in the sun. Our level of unprotected sun exposure will determine if, when and in what quantity these spots will appear.

There are some natural ingredients that are effective in preventing and treating hyperpigmentation:

Aloe vera - this plant contains aloin and aloesin, botanical active ingredients that reduce hyperpigmentation. The sensation on the skin is highly refreshing and calming, also ideal for relieving burned or sensitive skin after sun exposure.

Vitamin C - this powerful antioxidant offers UVA and UVB protection, so we should look for it, both in the ingredients of our beauty products and in our diet.

Vitamin E - essential for strong, healthy skin, hair and nails. Moisturizes, protects the skin from photosensitivity, acts as a healing agent and relieves symptoms of aggression and burns.

Green tea - rich in antioxidants, more specifically polyphenols, protect cells from damage caused by UV radiation.

Anti sunspot beauty products

Face

Solar protection

The first phase of anti-blemish protection is sun protection, to prevent the body from producing excess melanin, which will then result in dark spots. Therefore, it is important to use a serum or sun stick with SPF appropriate to your skin tone , even in the autumn/winter months.

Radiant line

Essence , serum and cream - a complete care to prevent and alleviate hyperpigmentation. The essence is aloe vera , which we have already seen is effective in treating sunspots; the cream and serum are full of Vitamin C , in ingredients such as papaya, passion fruit and citrus oil, and contain carrot and turmeric extracts , ingredients that protect the skin from the sun. Plus, they contain bakuchiol , the natural alternative to retinol, for firmer, plumper skin without the common adverse reactions of retinol.

Luminous Mask

For light exfoliation and a boost of hydration, with antioxidant ingredients that regenerate the skin and protect it from sun damage. Honey, açaí, passion fruit oil and rose powder are some of the main ingredients that will brighten the complexion, combat hyperpigmentation and delay signs of aging.

Beauty Drops

A must do! Hydration from the inside out with rose water as the main ingredient and a touch of silica, a mineral essential for collagen regeneration. They stimulate skin elasticity and radiance from the inside out, maintain a uniform complexion and act as a natural anti-inflammatory.

Body

Solar protection

Just like on the face, we shouldn't neglect sun protection on the body. Even if you don't go to the beach, just a walk in the sun will end the day with a sunburn on your shoulders, chest or arms. When repeated, sun damage will appear on the skin sooner or later. It's important to protect yourself with your favorite sunscreen (mineral, we recommend).

Maximum hydration - Puro Sol Balm and Sea Oil

It is essential to replenish hydration in the skin, especially after sun exposure and sea/swimming water. In the summer months, we recommend the Puro Sol Balm , rich in regenerating and protective botanical active ingredients, both to prepare the skin for the sun and to soothe it after sun exposure. If you prefer an oil, then definitely Sea , rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin E , and with algae extracts for a boost of vitamins.

Exfoliation - Awakens , Stimulates and Shines

Exfoliation is super important in the summer , as it removes dead cells and superficial hyperpigmentation, renewing the epidermis . Furthermore, it removes residue accumulation and promotes more luminosity and shine. Not only does it improve the appearance of your skin, it also helps you maintain a more beautiful and long-lasting tan. As for the exfoliant, choose your favorite scent, as they all contain natural ingredients effective in anti-blemish care: Desperta , with coffee and kakadu plum, antioxidant ingredients highly rich in Vitamin C; o Stimulate , with matcha , the purest green tea , and citrus fruits for a boost of Vitamin C ; and Brilha , with its moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties , perfect for the most delicate skin.
