Natural alternative to fillers and botox: discover Cupping and Gua Sha
Dermal filler injections are a practice used by plastic surgeons and dermatologists on thousands of women around the world to fill in wrinkles and fine lines or add volume to the lips and cheekbones. Although they are not without risk (it involves introducing foreign substances into the body, after all) they are considered safe and are extremely popular, even among very young women, even before the age of 20. Recently, a study by a team of plastic surgeons in the United States and presented at the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons set off all the alarm bells. Social media was quickly filled with alarmist posts warning that fillers - which celebrities use and abuse - could cause cancer.
But what does this study actually reveal? Do the fillers that so many people inject into their skin to restore youth or enhance their features really cause cancer? Well, you have to be careful.
Lymphatic blockage, no more
The facts: fillers are essentially composed of hyaluronic acid, and what these studies reveal is that this compound (which the body produces, and which in fillers is injected in its artificial form) blocks the lymphatic vessels, which help the body identify and eliminate toxins, including cancer cells. In other words, it is possible that by "clogging" the lymphatic vessels, fillers interfere with our body's ability to eliminate unwanted cells (which we all produce) and thus increase the risk of cancer. But more research is needed. In other words, the researchers who pointed out the link between hyaluronic acid and clogging of the lymphatic channels (which has been scientifically proven) said that more studies would be conducted to find out whether these "filler" injections can cause cancer.
It's very easy to make the leap: the lymphatic vessels exist in our body so that we can clean out impurities and waste. It is through them that we fight infections and maintain high immunity. If they are blocked (by fillers), how can they do their job? On the other hand, as the scientists explain, when a foreign substance (such as hyaluronic acid) is introduced into the body, the body will react to fight the invader, triggering an immune response that could have been avoided.
With or without a proven carcinogenic factor, the truth is that thinking you've injected your face with chemicals that block the normal flow of your body is bad enough. Quite simply, fillers mean blockage, or from the point of view of Traditional Chinese Medicine, "stagnation", something we definitely don't need in our lives!
Beautiful, rejuvenated skin without collateral damage
What we really want is for everything to flow. In the lymphatic vessels and beyond. And this is possible - achieving younger, firmer and more hydrated skin - without the use of chemical substances. Apart from the obvious blockage of the lymphatic vessels, fillers present a series of collateral damages, such as nodules, cysts, inflammation and pain, which are totally undesirable.
Fortunately, there is an alternative. 100% natural, healthy, affordable and positive, and with no associated risks. Here are some ideas:
Cupping: an alternative therapy that, using silicone cups that slide over the skin creating suction, allows you to sculpt the contour of the face, boosting firmness and elasticity and filling in wrinkles. Our Cupping Kit includes two cups silicone with features (one for the delicate eye area + lips and one for the rest of the face) and a SCULPT facial serum specific for facial massage.
Gua Sha: another ancient technique that is still relevant today, with fabulous results. Originating in traditional Chinese medicine, this beauty tool allows you to shape the skin of the face, acting on key areas such as the neck, jaw and cheekbones. Super easy to use, daily use of Gua Sha improves the full absorption of beauty products, promotes blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, combats swelling (especially around the eyes) and the appearance of wrinkles. To further enhance the anti-aging effect of this massage, apply a few drops of the Revitalize Serumwith vitamin C and other natural antioxidants, which provides a lifting effect on the skin, restoring firmness and elasticity, without chemicals!
Focus on the eyes: even for the most delicate and sensitive area of the skin, the eye contour, there is a solution, without resorting to any injections. Our Green aventurine eye kit comes with two Gua Sha mushrooms, specially adapted to the sensitive areas of the face, and the effective serum, especially for the skin around the eyes (reduces dark circles and puffiness) and lips. A beauty concentrate to massage in and feel the difference.
