Virgo Season
August 22nd to September 22nd by Carolina Innerview
After an intense and fiery season in the sign of Leo, the Sun now transits through the sign of Virgo, bringing us back down to earth, to routines, and to the body's healthy cycles.
For most of us, the end of August and the beginning of September is back-to-school time: back to work, back to school, and back to our routines. It's also the best time for the detox our bodies crave after the excesses of the holidays, and none of this is a coincidence, since Virgo is the sign that speaks to us of health and well-being, the importance of daily routines, and respect for the rhythms of the body and nature.
If you're back from vacation, now is the perfect time to connect with your body and understand how to nourish it. Routines and habits don't need to remain constant throughout the year. Now, at the end of summer, what foods do you prefer? What time do you go to bed? And what time do you wake up? Do you exercise? How does your energy fluctuate throughout the day? And throughout your menstrual cycle? Observe and listen to your body, with love and attention to every detail. It holds all the answers within itself.
Regarding the body, at this stage it's especially important to pay attention to your intestines, the organs ruled by this sign. In low vibrations, Virgo can bring a tendency towards perfectionism and overthinking, since it's ruled by the planet Mercury. When this happens, stress increases and the intestines give the signal.
Observe your inner dialogue. Too critical? Too demanding? When there's an excess of ego and intellect, the remedy lies in nature. Get out of the house, find an open-air place that helps you ground yourself. Take off your shoes and breathe.
"Conscious breathing is the quickest way to return to the present moment and calm the mind," said Virgo.
And it's not just an internal cleansing that this sign asks of us, since it's the one that awakens the Marie Kondo within us! During this season, take the opportunity to declutter, clean, and organize your home, creating space for a new cycle. Also organize your schedule, your timetable, and your priorities. Lists, spreadsheets, sticky notes, and timelines are great allies during this phase. Use them liberally!
Finally, Virgo is a sign deeply connected to the concept of work as service. For them, work is not just an obligation, but a way to contribute and be useful to the well-being of others. Efficiency, dedication, and attention to detail are characteristics that are reflected in how you approach your daily tasks. During this season, take the opportunity to reflect on how your work impacts (or doesn't impact) the world around you and how you can improve your skills to better serve those you work with and interact with.
