Everything You Need to Know to Use the Reusable Blade

Now that the heat is here (hopefully to stay) we are starting to worry more about our skin, which is naturally more visible. Since the pandemic, I stopped “going for waxing” and embraced our depilatory razor . At first I was a little afraid as the blade is obviously sharp, BUT from the first use I realized how super easy and effective it is to use . Honestly, I don't want anything else.

The safest and most sustainable way to shave is without a doubt with a reusable and rechargeable razor .

Here are the best tips for using yours!

1 . Don't shave in a hurry

If you wax quickly, you are more likely to get hurt. Think of waxing as a self-care ritual. Take some time to do this calmly and leave your skin smooth and hair-free.

two . Exfoliate your skin before shaving

After a warm water bath and exfoliation with your favorite exfoliant , the pores are cleaner and the hair is less rough. It will be much easier to shave . We just don't recommend using Relaxe because, as it contains salt, it may cause some itching if you shave afterwards.

3 . Apply oil to facilitate hair removal

This is without a doubt the best tip and the one that makes the most difference! The oil will help the blade move delicately and perfectly along the body while hydrating the skin. I chose all of Suave 's ingredients to deeply nourish, reduce redness and eliminate ingrown hairs!

4. Don't put too much pressure on the skin
You will notice that this blade is heavier and more resistant than disposable blades. The only thing you have to do is slide it very lightly across your skin, because the natural weight of the blade does all the work for you! With practice, you will discover how you can better hold the blade , but use an angle of 30º as a reference.
5. When in doubt, shave in the direction of hair growth

In more sensitive areas and where the skin is very thin, such as the bikini line, or for those who have really sensitive or reactive skin, it is best to move in the direction of hair growth . If this is not your case, you can shave against hair growth. The blade is quite effective and therefore you won't need to pass it over the same place many times.

6 . Keep the blade clean

It is essential to avoid irritating the skin. Rinse it under running water or immerse it in a container of water to remove all hair and accumulated oil. Shake and dry well so it doesn't rust. Avoid letting it rest on the edge of the bathtub, as it will always be subject to getting wet and retaining humidity.

7 . Change refills frequently

The sharper it is, the better it shaves and the less it irritates the skin. The refills are super easy to place and each Pack contains five. Change as needed - as soon as you feel it losing its effectiveness.

How do I put the refill on the blade ?

Each reusable blade comes with five refills . To insert a refill into your blade , turn and remove the handle. Open the rectangular part at the top of the blade and insert the refill , being very careful not to cut yourself. Reassemble your reusable blade - it's ready to use.
