Tiramisu is my favorite dessert!
And this orange one is a fresher version that tastes really good now with the summer heat. Try it and let me know what you think.
1 cup natural orange juice
8 Champagne cookies
1 Pack of ricotta
2 Tbsp brown or brown sugar
1 Tbsp orange zest
1 Egg white
Tbsp fine sugar
Cocoa powder, to serve
Strawberries (or fruit of your choice), hulled, washed, sliced, to serve
Place the orange juice in a bowl. Dip the cookies, one at a time, into the juice and line the bases of eight 125 ml (1/2 cup) glasses. Drizzle with the remaining orange juice.
Mix the ricotta, brown sugar and orange zest in a medium bowl.
Use a whisk to mix the egg and sugar in a clean, dry bowl until soft peaks form.
Use a metal spoon to incorporate the egg white into the ricotta mixture.
Divide the ricotta mixture between serving glasses. Cover with cling paper and store in the fridge for 2 hours until cold.
Top with strawberries to serve.
