This is a recipe I've been making for over 20 years. The years pass and I always return to her. It's really quick to make and only contains 4 ingredients that I always have on hand.
So when I need "that" sweet treat, which has to be quick and healthy, I sometimes remember this mousse.
I hope you like it as much as I do.
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
- 100g of Chocolate
- 300g of organic Silken Tofu, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup, extra if desired
- 1 teaspoon vanilla powder or essence
PREPARATION
- Melt chocolate in double boiler. Stir occasionally until melted. Remove from the heat and let it come to room temperature.
- Drain the tofu, gently so it doesn't fall apart. Rinse under cold water. Place in a blender glass along with the maple syrup and vanilla. Add the melted chocolate and beat until you get a creamy mixture.
- Divide into glasses or bowls and store in the fridge for 20 minutes or until firmer. This step is really important for the mousse to be very creamy and thick.
- Decorate with red fruits if desired and enjoy!
*I only use organic certified tofu. Very important indeed.
