When you reach a certain age, or simply to a certain level of wanting to live in the least toxic way possible, there are many things we have to rethink. Namely what we put in the head. Yes, I am talking about paints, chemicals, toxins that get into our blood rapidly and that over time can harm our health.
I started to have white very early ... And inevitably, dyeing my hair. Quickly my hair began to get smooth, dry, brittle and without structure.
When I decided to risk paint with henna I was dissuade by several well -intentioned friends and hairdressers who warned me to the likelihood of having orange, red hair, that the hair would fall, etc ...
If I knew what I know today! The hair does not fall, nor is it orange! Yes it is covered by a delicate natural paint, it has a healthy look, with structure and elasticity, full of shine!
THE henna It is a mix of plants and roots… which in its combination can make hair black, brown or even blond. And in our case - the hennas which we have available on the site - are 100% biological certified and approved by Ecocert cosmos.
The most important thing is to know how to prepare and have patience.
- To prepare your mixture choose the most appropriate color with yours ... In my case I mix dark brown with copy.
- Start by warming water. Add a tea sachet. For darker shades: Black tea, for blondes: chamomile. Let it create infusion.
- In a bowl put the henna. You can add a single color or make mixtures to get the desired color. Also add enough to cover your hair - it will obviously depend on the length.
- In my case 3 tablespoons of dark brown dessert 1 tablespoon of coppery dessert.
- Add the infusion gradually until you get a consistency that resembles Greek yogurt ... you have to get thick qb to cover and “grasp” on hair.
- Protect the clothes with a towel - I wear a dark. Use a brush, I have a hairdresser can buy at pluricosmetic stores, or even an IKEA painting fits.
-
Important, the hair should be dry. Preferably “dirty” (1, 2 days without perfect washing!).
- Start dividing your hair and dye as close to the root as possible. A good layer. Hair hair cannot be visible. I like to start with the front, where the white ones get more visible, and then go to the back.
- Make sure it has a good layer of the henna mixture through the hair.
- I then cover it with the towel and let it stay. I try to be up to 2 hours to make sure the color fixes well.
- If it's the first time you paint with henna, and you feel that the color hasn't caught it, it's normal. Especially if you use silicone shampoos… you'll have to be patient and apply a few days again. When you join the first time the next will always catch.
FACT
A fact about the henna I love, and I feel in my hair, it is undoubtedly the strength that Henna brings with each hair. As you can notice the hair of those who have been dyed with henna for hundreds of years, in Indian communities, women have silky, strong and bright hair. And this undoubtedly has to do with the benefits that the mix of plants and roots present in henna bring to the hair. The hair becomes more elastic, nourished and protected - unlike chemical paints. It is even worth experimenting with as some applications are visible to both touch and look.
MYTH
Henna comes out with washing ... It's not true. Henna adheres and doesn't leave.
I only paint again when the root begins to appear. So they can spend many weeks until you have to paint again, and usually just the root.
Our henna (I can't speak for others) do not take the skin.
TIP
If you're a blonde looking for 1 tsp of turmeric to better fix the color.
If it is for the brown 1 teaspoon of coffee.
