Five tips to prolong your tan.

Cinco dicas para prolongar a bronzeado - MPL beauty

Who doesn't love the feeling of coming back from vacation and hearing the compliment, "You have an enviable tan!" Besides the good weather, the sun, and the beach, one of the things we love most about summer is seeing our tanned, golden skin, with that sun-kissed glow that we love so much.

But how can we keep our tanned skin longer? In this article, we give you five foolproof tips to prolong your tan — even after the holidays and sunbathing are over!

1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

Hydration is one of the best ways to maintain your tan after vacation — and it's important to apply a moisturizing product before, during, and after tanning, as the sun has a drying effect on the skin.

After sun exposure, there's nothing like pampering your skin with our After Sun , a super practical stick with soothing and moisturizing ingredients that help the skin on your face and body recover from sun damage, relieve burns, and reduce redness and inflammation.

Another essential step for deep hydration from head to toe is our Pure Sun Balm , a true must-have that restores the skin's luminosity, stimulating its elasticity, radiance, and firmness!

2. Support skin cell renewal.

Did you know that exfoliation is an essential step in maintaining a tanned complexion? Contrary to what you might think, exfoliating your skin once a week will help remove dead skin cells and maintain a healthy complexion.  A healthy, luminous, and even complexion. At this time of year, we love using our Brilha to exfoliate, hydrate, and brighten the skin on our bodies—its botanical actives are especially suited for caring for sensitive, dehydrated, and blemish-prone skin, making it the perfect summer exfoliator!

And for the face? The answer is in our Cleansing Kit , of course! The combination of Jasmine Oil and 100% Organic Cotton Facial Towel will help remove dead cells and stimulate cell renewal, leaving your skin much more hydrated, luminous and even, and prolonging the "sun-kissed" look for much longer.

3. Choose an extra nourishing care product.

To maintain that sun-kissed look that defines facial skin so well during the summer months (and which we so often try to recreate when the holidays end), there's nothing like applying our Pure Sun Serum .

With anti-aging and anti-sun spot properties, this nourishing and repairing facial oil is perfect for all skin types. In addition to deeply moisturizing, it helps soothe inflammation and tone the skin, restoring its elasticity and natural radiance.

4. When in doubt, use highlighter!

We never say no to extra shine, and that's why we created two body illuminators that will leave your skin even more luminous, while enhancing your tan. We're talking, of course, about our wonderful Sun and Sea — both enriched with Mica, a natural mineral that gives a silky, sun-kissed glow to the skin.

The sun acts as a natural tanner, giving the skin a light color, making it more suitable for those seeking a golden, more intense tan. The sea , on the other hand, is ideal for those who want to boost their skin's luminosity, as it provides a truly enviable glow (without the color component of the sun).

Whichever you choose, get ready for ultra-luminous and silky skin!

5. Water, water, and more water — inside and out.

Besides all the beauty treatments, there are two "tricks" we can't do without to keep our tan longer. The first is to lower the temperature of the shower water, as hot water can dehydrate your skin, causing it to peel faster. And if you can shower with cold water, even better!

The second one also involves water, but now from the inside out. We all know that drinking water does wonders for our skin, nails, and hair—and our summer tan is no exception! That's why you should always carry our Thermos Bottle with you, and add our Beauty Drops for even more intense nourishment.
