Better than holding a cup of hot beverage in my hands is knowing that it's full of good things for my body. When the weather gets colder, when I feel down because the days are starting to get darker… this hot cocoa made with my CALMA blend is the perfect recipe to improve my mood.

CALMA is a blend of medicinal plants, superfoods, and adaptogens that calm the nervous system and reduce anxiety, leaving you tranquil and relieved. It's made with cacao, a sacred food used in Aztec and Mayan rituals, which improves blood circulation and stimulates serotonin production – thus elevating your mood. The blend also includes reishi , a mushroom that strengthens the immune system and relieves daily stress; ashwagandha , which balances emotions; and shatavari, a medicinal plant full of antioxidants with regulatory (and aphrodisiac!) properties.
Super Tip:
To make this hot cocoa even richer, you can add 1 tablespoon of almond or maca butter, or 1/2 teaspoon of chaga .
Ingredients for 1 to 2 cups
2 cups of plant-based milk of your choice (my favorite )
2 teaspoons of CALM
1 teaspoon of cocoa butter
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Preparation
1. Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat, without letting it boil.
2. In a blender, combine the milk with the other ingredients. If needed, add a little sweetener of your choice, such as coconut sugar or honey.
3. Beat until you obtain a creamy mixture with foam on top. If desired, sprinkle with cocoa or cinnamon powder.
