3/4 cup brown, yellow, or coconut sugar
-
2 tablespoons of melted butter or olive oil
-
1/3 cup coconut, almond, or other milk of your choice.
-
1 cup of spelt or buckwheat flour
-
1/2 cup almond flour (you can choose to use 1 and 1/2 cups whole spelt flour instead of this flour)
-
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
-
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
-
A pinch of salt
-
2 tablespoons of cocoa
-
3 tablespoons of hot water
-
Preheat the oven to 170ºC (340ºF). Line a cake tin with parchment paper. Set aside.

In a bowl, mix the banana, sugar, coconut oil, milk, and vanilla well.
-
Combine the flours, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
-
Remove 1 cup of this mixture and place it in a small bowl. Add the cocoa and hot water. Mix.

Drop spoonfuls of both batters into the prepared pan. Using a knife or toothpick, swirl the batters into circles to create a marbled effect.

Bake for 40 minutes or until cooked through.
