Matcha Cake

This is one of my favorite cakes. Super cute and delicious! With a delicate matcha flavor. Perfect for a snack or to have at home during the week.

serves 6 to 8


200g unsalted butter, melted

2 1/2 cups unbleached flour

1 teaspoon of baking soda

2 tablespoons of Matcha

3 eggs

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 cup yogurt (I used organic vanilla)

1 teaspoon vanilla (powder or essence)


Heat the oven to 170 Cº. Line a pan with parchment paper and set aside.

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and matcha. Reserve.

In a medium bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar. Add the yogurt and vanilla, mix until everything is well incorporated. Add the melted butter (make sure it is at room temperature, if it is too hot it will cook the eggs), mix well.

Pour the egg mixture over the flour mixture, mixing until incorporated. Turn the mixture into the reserved pan.

Bake for 40 minutes or until cooked.

Remove from the oven and eat immediately or at room temperature.
