We don't sunbathe without protecting ourselves from UV rays , so why don't we take the same care of our hair and scalp? As you know , the scalp ages six times faster than the skin on the face .
Exposure to the sun and high temperatures weakens keratin, a protein present in hair fibers, making up 80% of each strand! Fine and lighter hair is especially vulnerable, as is colored hair , but protection is important for all hair types to prevent discoloration, frizz, dehydration, and an irritated scalp.
Here are our tips for maintaining amazing hair and a healthy scalp now that summer is here! 🏽

1. Use a hair sunscreen.
🏽It couldn't be anything other than tip number 1: hair sunscreen. One of the newest (and most requested!) new products in the store. This spray is composed of light and nourishing oils , capable of creating a light barrier between hair and sun rays . In addition, it is enriched with Vitamin E , super important for protecting against oxidative stress caused by sun damage, both on the skin and hair. One of the key ingredients in this sunscreen spray for hair is natural bamboo-based silicone , which not only protects from solar radiation but also improves the appearance of the hair , giving it more shine, hydration, softness, and structure. You can apply it to dry or damp hair , before and during activities in the sun or water.

🏽 2. Go natural!
The more chemical products we use on our hair, the more vulnerable it becomes to sun damage. Therefore, it's very important to choose a natural shampoo. And if you dye your hair, a natural color like henna is also a good option. Avoid blow-drying or straightening with hot irons – take advantage of the cooler weather to let your hair air dry. After swimming in the sea and especially in chlorinated pools, rinse your hair immediately afterwards. Also, be careful not to tie your hair with very tight elastics, as they break the strands and make the hair more fragile. Opt for wide-toothed combs instead of brushes, and gently dry your hair with a towel.
🏽 3. Increase hydration
With increased sun and heat exposure, saltwater and chlorine, and more frequent hair washing, it's advisable to give your hair a hydration boost. Ideally, once a week, use an intensive hair mask, such as the Super Hair Mask – perfect for preventing hair damage and also for helping to improve already burnt and dry hair. You can leave it on overnight and wash your hair in the morning, remembering to apply conditioner to the ends. It's also beneficial to massage the scalp with a repairing serum , which can also be applied to the ends, to restore hydration and shine and to stimulate growth. Like the mask, you can leave it on overnight and gently wash your hair the next day.
*SUPER TIP: Apply the Super Hair mask before going to the beach or position it for super hydration and UV protection.

4. Protect yourself with accessories or hairstyles.
Especially during the hottest hours, it's ideal to wear a hat, cap, or scarf on your head – just as you would wear a t-shirt or stay in the shade during the hottest times of the day. This protects your hair from the sun's rays and prevents sunburn on your scalp. You can also choose to wear your hair braided or tied up , without overdoing it or pulling it too tightly to avoid breakage , as this is a way to reduce sun exposure.

5. Drink plenty of water!
It's always good to remember. And yes, in the summer, enriching your water with Beauty Drops is essential , since rose water and silica provide a boost of hydration from the inside out, which is felt on the skin and hair. Take advantage of the fact that your thermos keeps the water cold and always take yours to the beach, pool, or for outdoor activities.
