Resetting your summer skin

It's often said that "the dose makes the poison" and this maxim can be applied to sun exposure. While it's true that it's good for our skin, mood and immune system, it's also true that it's one of the main causes of premature ageing. 

It's essential to create a protective barrier between your skin and UV radiation every day - and we hope you've strengthened it over the summer! And now that the beach days are over, it's important to reinforce the skin's hydration and support its regeneration. 

This 6-step routine will make all the difference to your skin's texture and to maintaining your tan, as well as preparing your skin for the colder months.

Gua Sha Rosa

 

1. START EVERY MORNING WITH...

A skin cleansing, with the facial towel and cleansing serum Jasmine (or Camelliaif you have sensitive skin). Put 3 to 4 drops of the serum on a damp towel or face cloth and gently massage it into your face and neck. Not only are you removing impurities and deeply moisturizing your face, but you are also gently exfoliating your face, without damaging the skin's microbiome, as is the case with more abrasive cleansing methods. 

In the morning, it's also important to support the skin from the inside out with a glass of water with 4 pipettes of Beauty Drops. Rose water and silica remineralize the body and boost hydration, essential for supple, radiant skin and strong nails and hair. Remember that you've spent hours in the sun and that wear and tear needs to be compensated for! 

2. WAKE UP YOUR FACE WITH GUA SHA

Anything better than an extra half hour's sleep? There is! A facial massage with Gua Sha and your favorite serumoto "wake up" the skin. Not only does it help to deflate and stimulate circulation, but it also enhances the absorption of the serum. When you do this massage consistently, the results are clearly visible: firmer, plumper, smoother, younger-looking skin. The effect is even more invigorating if you store the stone in the fridge. Massage in an upward motion for at least 10 minutes (5 minutes for each side of the face).

3. ALWAYS MOISTURIZE!

This is a good time to moisturize your face and body. If you usually moisturize your face only with serums, this might be a good time to incorporate the Regenera Balm into your routine. This concentrate of oils and butters, with a thicker texture, is perfect for helping the skin retain moisture and create a protective barrier against external aggressors. It has a calming action (largely due to the Blue Tansy oil, which we love!) and is great for soothing irritated skin. 

If you need something more practical, we recommend the balm Puro Solas it can be used on the face and body. This silky-textured balm transforms the driest and most chapped skin, leaving it soft and nourished. As well as being highly moisturizing, it contains active botanicals chosen to support the skin's recovery after sun exposure. You can also use it as an after-sun mask for hair and to regenerate dry lips.

 4. EXFOLIATE

Once a week, before going to bed, make an body scrubl. It's an excellent way to relax and, by removing dead cells, it supports the reconstruction of skin tissue, as well as helping to prolong the tan. It stimulates blood circulation and collagen regeneration, and boosts the lymphatic system, which is essential for removing toxins from the body - and we know that all this translates into cleaner, smoother, cellulite-free skin. The scrub Awakens and Stimulates are especially effective in recovering from sun damage, as they are rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C.

5. EXTRA SHINE

Exposure to the sun can leave skin dull and lifeless, so you can and should boost that glow. If you prefer oil-based body moisturizers, we recommend the Revitalizewith a toning and firming action. It has a wonderful fresh scent and one of the main ingredients is squalane, a compound found in our bodies, the production of which decreases as we age. It is quickly absorbed by the skin and very effective at keeping it firm and radiant. If you prefer (or feel your skin needs) something more intensive, the Moisturizing Balm is rich in antioxidants and nourishing butters, capable of improving uneven skin texture, minimizing stretch marks and cellulite and preventing signs of ageing.

6. DETOX

It's normal to overindulge in summer. More sugar, more alcohol, more fat and fewer hours of sleep - all of this can be reflected in the skin. We can always help the body to detoxify, from the inside out, and to Detox Blend is perfect for this. This bright green powder, rich in chlorophyll, combines the antioxidant and detoxifying action of different medicinal plants and adaptogens. It boosts the body's cleansing mechanisms, prevents cell damage, reduces abdominal swelling and reduces inflammation. Of course, it's not miraculous and requires a balanced diet and habits, but it's an excellent support, especially when you're getting back into the swing of things.
