We pay a lot of attention to our facial skin, giving it all the care it deserves and adopting routines to keep it clean, moisturized and healthy, but do we do the same with our scalp?
We've received countless messages from you asking how to take care of your scalp, stimulating hair growth and stopping hair loss. We can't remind you enough that strong, shiny, healthy hair that makes you proud and happy literally comes from a healthy scalp. We also need to remember that the scalp ages six times faster than the skin on the face (that's right!), so if we don't want brittle, weak hair, we need to take action. In this post we explain everything, with a very easy, enjoyable and effective routine for super hair.
A combination of factors
Just like your skin, your hair is a reflection of your lifestyle. Several factors play a part in the health and beauty of your hair, starting with your emotional state and stress. It's no coincidence that in times of heightened anxiety, tension or immediately after an illness, our hair often suffers, becoming duller and lifeless, or falling out. Other factors such as diet, exercise and our general balance also influence the health of our hair.
We can't change anything about our health or beauty if we don't change our attitudes and behavior. So the first step is to look at our life as a whole and see what we need to change. And then, focusing on the scalp and hair, realize that in order to have stronger, fuller, shinier and more textured hair, we need to combine action from the inside out (feeding the follicles, the root of the hair shaft, with the nutrients they need) with the application of the right products and, most importantly, the right beauty tools.
Five steps to beautiful hair
If your hair is more fragile, brittle, dull and lacking in texture, if you notice that breakouts are increasing or that hair loss is becoming more pronounced, follow this routine, consistently and confidently, and see how everything changes.
1. Nourish your hair from the inside out
Every day, first thing in the morning, start your routine by nourishing your hair from the inside with our Super Hair Capsules. They are a blend of medicinal plants, vitamins and minerals specifically formulated to help nourish the hair follicle by giving it everything it needs. Take two capsules every day for 3 months and see the difference. It's a supplement with no contraindications and great results, even in the case of postpartum hair loss.
2. Wash your hair more often
It's true. The myth that washing your hair every day weakens it is just that, a myth. In fact, washing your hair often enough (every day or every other day, at least) is very good for stimulating growth, because the growth channels are no longer clogged.
But of course, you need to use the right products that don't harm your hair. Natural shampoos and conditioners are ideal because they don't contain abrasive and toxic ingredients that can irritate the scalp, dull the hair or weaken it. We recommend double cleansing with our Super Hair shampooshampoo, which is suitable for all hair types, and then apply the mpl'beauty conditioner conditioner, enriched with bergamot and orange blossom oils, on the underside of the hair. Start washing at the nape of the neck, massaging the scalp, then rinse thoroughly. You can also wash your hair with your head facing downwards to reach all areas of your scalp more evenly and thoroughly.
3. Discover the wonders of the jade comb
Every morning, use the Jade Comb for a daily massage that will help relieve tension and activate circulation in the scalp, stimulating collagen production. This wide-toothed comb is widely used in traditional Chinese medicine, as is the Gua Sha. This massage should be done on dry hair, starting at the neck and nape of the neck and then moving several times from the hairline to the nape of the neck in circular movements, always exerting good pressure that can be felt. At the top of the head, tap the comb several times to activate circulation. After doing this massage, your scalp will be more oxygenated and will allow each follicle to start breathing, so that a new strand of strong, shiny, healthy hair can begin to grow. Do this massage every day, and after 9 days in a row you'll start to feel the difference, with stronger, fuller and shinier hair.
4. Try the dermaroller
This is an essential tool for stimulating hair growth. O Dermaroller is a roller with titanium micro-needles which, through micro-perforation, activate the scalp and stimulate the growth of new hairs.
The first thing to do when you receive your dermaroller is to disinfect it. The dermaroller won't hurt or cause wounds, but they are still micro-needles that will penetrate your skin. So before using it for the first time, disinfect it by soaking it in alcohol for 15 minutes, and clean it again with alcohol before and after each use.
To perform the massage, pass the dermaroller in a straight line, opening the strands of hair one by one, and then with zigzag movements, to create as many microchannels as possible, stimulate collagen production and activate areas of the scalp where there is the potential for a follicle to grow a new strand of hair.
The dermaroller can be used every other day, preferably at night. It should be used on clean, dry hair (in other words, we don't recommend massaging a scalp that hasn't been washed for several days). That's why it's best to massage with a dermaroller on the days you wash your hair.
Very important: the dermaroller micro-needles are very delicate and wear out with use, so they no longer perform their function effectively. Think of your dermaroller as a toothbrush and replace it often.
5. Nourish your hair with a good serum
We've already seen how mechanically, through massage with a jade comb or dermaroller, we activate circulation, stimulate collagen production and awaken "sleeping" follicles, helping hair growth. But we can do even more by getting to the root of the problem and giving the follicles the nutrients they need. During the massage or immediately afterwards, apply our Super Hair Serumformulated with specific botanical ingredients to strengthen and hydrate the hair.
Massage combined with the serum is essential: not only is it super satisfying and relaxing, but it also enhances the absorption of the serum's botanical extracts by the hair follicles. The ideal, especially for oily hair, is to apply the serum in the evening and leave it on, washing it out thoroughly the next day.
