Hormonal balance: Natural alternatives

equilíbrio hormonal: ALTERNATIVAS NATURAIS - MPL beauty

We all want (or should want) a balanced hormonal system, as it generally means our body is functioning optimally, our skin is clear, our metabolism is working correctly, we are not overly stressed, and so on.

The question, then, is how do we effectively regulate our hormones? Something we've seen over the years is people, especially women, taking medication and following an unnatural path to ensure their hormones are balanced.

But using these methods for hormone regulation can actually have negative repercussions and possibly the opposite effect to what is desired. So, we wanted to share some natural ways to effectively regulate your hormones.

HOW TO IDENTIFY if you have hormonal problems:

The first questions you need to ask yourself are:

  • Do you have enough energy to complete your daily tasks?
  • Do you sleep soundly at night?
  • Did you gain weight?
  • Do you experience mood swings?
  • Hair loss, thinning hair?
  • Adult acne?
  • Irregular periods?
  • Infertility?
  • Loss of libido?

HOW TO REGULATE HORMONES NATURALLY:

1. Choose your food CAREFULLY!

Many of us have become much more cautious about our diet over the years, but one thing we're not always aware of is what kind of food our food consumes before it reaches our plate. If you eat meat, opt for grass-fed beef versus grain-fed beef. If you like fish, choose wild-caught fish versus toxic farmed fish that are fed meal instead of algae that support our digestive system.

2. Add Adaptogens

You may have heard of adaptogens , as they are becoming increasingly popular in Western culture, but they have actually been used for thousands of years, primarily in Ayurvedic medicine. Adaptogens come in a variety of benefits, but are best known for helping to combat inflammation by supporting our body's adrenal and central nervous systems. They are also known to directly affect the body's endocrine system, which is responsible for balancing hormones. If you are looking for a way to naturally regulate your hormones, this is an absolutely amazing way to do it. Another great advantage of adaptogens is that a little goes a long way . They tend to have an earthy taste, so they combine well with things like smoothies . (1-2 teaspoons of Ashwagandha per day have been used in Ayurvedic practices as a substitute for thyroid medication).

Taking 2 Super Woman capsules (composed of adaptogens) daily helps balance hormones.

3. Stay away from processed soy.

Normally, when we think of soy, we think of things like soy sauce and tofu, but the truth is that soy is hidden in a ton of processed and unhealthy products. Processed soy is essentially estrogen's worst nightmare because, when ingested, it mimics estrogen (phytoestrogen) and therefore blocks the binding of normal estrogen to receptors. This becomes a kind of chain reaction and also disrupts other hormones, causing a decrease in testosterone, which can then inhibit thyroid function. It's important to note that not all soy is created equal.

Fermented soybeans like tempeh, edamame, non-GMO miso, and natto are completely healthy. But almost all other soybeans are processed and prohibited (soy milk, soy-based meat and cheese alternatives, and most tofu). You can naturally regulate your hormones simply by avoiding these processed soy products and instead focusing on eating whole, natural foods.

healthy sugars

4. Avoid refined sugar.

Sugar is one of the major culprits behind hormonal imbalance. Unfortunately, those delicious desserts and chocolates we all know and love can actually cause some internal damage. This is because sugar ends up causing a spike in our blood sugar levels, so when we eat too many sweets or refined carbohydrates, we produce an excessive amount of insulin. This causes the production of an enzyme called aromatase, which – you guessed it – is one of the main enzymes responsible for the creation of estrogen.

Typically, by reducing your sugar intake, you will see and feel a difference in your body and skin (for the better, of course). So, if you are struggling with your hormones, try reducing your sugar intake for about a month and see if that helps.

But if you didn't know... we also have natural chocolates with adaptogens that don't mess with our hormonal system but support it, like the detox and super desire chocolates, for example, which you can eat daily without any problem.

5. Detoxify your personal hygiene products.

Using products formulated with clean and safe ingredients can make a huge difference. You may not realize it, but some brands you use daily likely contain toxic ingredients like parabens or phthalates. Our skin is porous, and the products we use daily are absorbed by the body. This can, over time, affect your hormones, so using safer products can help reduce exposure to estrogenic chemicals.

Bom dia Maria,
